Mr. Felix Lope de Vega

Madrid, Spain

Mr. Lope de Vega:

Hello, how are you? I want to tell you that I love to read! I think that the most important genres that I like are novels or plays. Sorry I forgot to say who I am. My name is Gustavo Adolfo Hernández Castañeda. I live in Guatemala and I am 18 years old. In my school some teachers recommended me your books as really good. I think in the same way like them. For example I read your book that is called “Fuente Ovejuna” and I think that it is a good book but I dislike the form of acting of “Commentator”. The reasons that I don’t like this character are: his attitude and the advantage that he takes over the people in the town.

The attitude is very important to reflect the way to act of the people and the reasons that I don’t like the attitude of the “Commentator” are because he is angry, sexual, and stupid. He is very angry in all the play because he doesn’t like to wait while other people make things for him. The worst thing that I don’t like is that he always thinks about the sexual thing of the women and that’s a very horrible way to see women. And obviously he is very stupid because he makes a lot of things that put him in bad situations.

The way that he takes advantage of the people is because he is the Commentator of the town and the things that I don’t like are in three specific moments when: he wants to be the most popular person in the town, he is with the judge, and he starts fighting for the love of Pascuala. When he wanted to be the most popular guy in the town, he proposed to the town that he had the most important position and he took advantage of the people of the town. When he went to the judge, he said that he had immunity because of his position. The Commentator fought for the love of Pascuala, and he said that all the women had to pay attention to him because he had a good position in the town.

After I read the book, I thought that you are a very good writer but I really don’t like the way of acting of the Commentator in the play “Fuente Ovejuna”. I think that the attitude is very important to be a good person, especially this character doesn’t act with good heart and he always thinks to make bad things to the people in the town. And he always acts in favor of him because he takes advantages in all the possibilities that he has in all the play. That’s because he thinks that he has a very good position in the town. But remember that I don’t say that you are a bad writer, the only thing is that I don’t like that way of acting of the Commentator in the play “Fuente Ovejuna”.

Sincerely,

Gustavo Hernández

Can Money buy happiness?

Many people think about the special things that they want in their life. Some of them have a lot of goals to make in each step in their life. Another group of people want to have the most portions of material things. But some people ask if they are happy by making the things they want? The people in the world are suggested by the money. They think that the money makes the happiness of the people but they are wrong. Why are those people wrong? There are two important reasons that the money does not buy happiness for the people because people can get happiness without money and the money doesn’t buy feelings.

There are many people who think that only people with money can get happiness buy those people are wrong because happiness is free; the money is not all in the life, and there other ways to get happiness. Happiness is something that you don´t need to pay for because the people get happiness when they make something good in their lives for example: winning a scholarship, playing football or talking with their friends. The money is only a way that the people use to buy things for example food, vacations or clothes, but it will never buy happiness because it is free. There are so many ways to be happy for example: wining the first place in your class, running faster than before, or kissing your couple and you don’t need money to get those things.

Feelings are important things that the humans need to live; for example happiness is one of them, and you can´t buy happiness because it is not material, it doesn’t have a price, and you can find it everywhere. You can´t see happiness but you can feel it because you feel something good inside you but you can´t touch it. Most of the things in the world have a price but happiness does not have a price because it is a feeling and you don’t pay for feeling. And happiness can be found everywhere because wherever you are you, can feel the things that you want to feel.

Those are the reason why people can´t buy happiness with money. We must reach happiness if we make the right things in the right moment. For example if we have a goal in our lives, we must fight for it and we have the obligation to make all for it. And when we get the goal, we will feel happiness. Happiness is free!
